I've been interrogating with time and visual observation for decades. Most of the time, my grilled meat was done right. However, sometimes they were overcooked or undercooked. A friend of mine brought back an AMAGARM instant read meat thermometer on a recent trip to camp. I watched him work with the unit's temperature readouts. The results were incredible. When it comes to steaks, rarity is rarity, average is average and good is good. For the Chicken: Reading the bone resulted in perfectly cooked and juicy chicken breasts and thighs! I now use the AMAGARM Instant Read meat thermometer for all my BBQs and the results are always excellent!
