We have replaced our 6 inch headlights in our kitchen with these bulbs. We were able to leave the headlight glass in place. diameter, and that's what we need to close the cut holes in our blanket. Most other recessed ceiling lights are 6.5 inches in diameter. These lamps are very dense and give off a nice warm light. You need 8 lightbulbs. It would be nice to have a replacement.
