These lights were placed on our entrance arch to the common room for decoration. We control it through the app and set it to turn on and off at set times every day. Another great feature is that you can choose from a variety of colors. Because it's the month of Halloween. We currently have them set to Orange. There is a function for dancing lights to music, but I haven't had much success with this option. The thread was long enough to go around the arch and over and around our TV console. We get a lot of compliments when people come. During the day the lights look like white pearls around the arch and look good in daylight. I highly recommend these lights for a child's room or any space you want to add fun lighting to!
