I bought the XL thinking it would have room for my pup to play and still be big enough when he grows up. I have to say that he was actually a lot taller than I expected, but that's about the only good thing I can say about him. It took my pup less than 30 seconds to figure out that if he jumped to one side he could topple the whole thing and run from the top. I could close the top to keep her from escaping, but the sides of the web are so flimsy that it only takes a few hops to rip them apart. I can't imagine this working with anyone but the calmest of dogs. In particular, I can't imagine it working for the "very large dogs" that the description says it's made for. It definitely didn't work for my 11 lb pup!
