This thing is very cool. Everyone loves it when my TV falls from the ceiling. Relatively speaking, it was easy to install. I wouldn't recommend trying it unless you know what you're doing. The design makes it difficult to properly shoe most home builds. So if you don't have plywood or concrete to attach it to, it could fall over. I tore the drywall out of my ceiling and installed some custom bracing on two studs to support the weight. Most people may want to hire a professional. Aside from the installation, the device itself is great. There were problems with the IR sensor, but the manufacturer immediately sent a new one. You can even program your existing remote control to raise/lower your TV.
