I appreciate the manufacturer taking the time to attach the bumpers to the corners of the larger pieces. During transportation and even assembly, they remained safe and intact. The corners were in good condition and cleanly cut. This cabinet has a mid-century modern look. The wood is darker and has spots where it looks older with dark browns and blacks. It's pretty durable and lays well on the ground. At 5ft down I feel this is a good piece of furniture. Wood laminate is easy to clean, easy to wash and collect dust. Assembly is required and I found it a breeze. There isn't an annoying amount of detail. On the metal feet at the bottom, at the four corners, the top screw was a little tricky just because of the corner and being able to insert your tool there. The included tool is a fairly cheap screwdriver and I had a hard time biting into wood with a screw and a small screwdriver. The buttons are of fairly cheap quality, but they are black and match the body well. be replaced by another version with the same holes. The holes are pre-drilled so you are limited to this size. The pet hole is sanded smooth and big for a fluffy cat or even a puppy. Overall I'm very happy with this look. I love that it's a shelter but also a place for junk. Much more attractive than the box in my living room.
