Review on 🍳 Cooks Standard 9-Piece Classic Stainless Steel Cooking Set by Phillip Rodriguez

Big bang for your buck! (with 2 year update)

Don't be put off by the low price! This is a great induction cooker set. Not only is it a very attractive set that looks a lot more expensive, it works flawlessly with our new induction hob. The steamer fits both pots and even another 4 liter brand. We already have an induction cooker. Water boils so quickly in an induction cooker that steaming vegetables is almost as fast as in a microwave, but steaming them stays a lot juicier. All handles have an open hole where they are attached to aid in air cooling. The side handles don't get hot unless you're using them on a large electric burner or using an oversized flame on a gas stove. Induction torches will never cause this problem. So far we are very satisfied. You really don't have to spend a fortune to have a quality cookware set. We're still trying to figure out how to fry in a stainless steel pan without food sticking. There are instructional videos online. Also, after the noodles are cooked, small dark stains remain in the pans, which Green or another bartender can easily remove. UPDATE 2 YEARS (10/6/19): Lived with this set for 2 years. The handles are still very strong and the sealed bottoms are still firmly attached. We never need anything other than a blue, non-scratching brush for the entire set, except maybe for the inside of the stainless steel pan. We sometimes use "green" for this, which is a more abrasive combination of scraper and sponge. To keep the inside looking new, I sometimes use Bartender's Friend Cleaner with a blue non-scratch scraper. But for super-shiny exteriors, all I need is a non-scratch sponge and dish soap. I sometimes wash them in the dishwasher with good results using Cascade detergents. The pan turned out to be not too bad at all when it comes to keeping the inside clean and shiny. However, I still prefer using my favorite Ozeri non-stick induction pans. I'm lazy and I admit it! Man I'm sooooo glad I bought this set!

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
