The supplied inserts feel weird and tight to me (eg off center and my foot goes over the edge) so I bought Dr inserts . Scholl pull over it, and the shoes became like a cloud. I've worn them around the house and I love the way they look and they seem very comfortable. I will be taking them on a trip and wanted something unobtrusive and not bulky. I've also had to go back to a size 6.5 and am 99.99 percent a size 6. I ordered the wider ones given the width warnings. They were perfect with extra padding in addition to that provided. Sooooo comfortable and convenient! UPDATE: So I took my shoes with me for a week-long trip to France with Dr. Scholl insoles and they are without a doubt the most comfortable shoes I've ever had for everyday wear. Nothing I've ever had can compare. Does not bubble, does not rub, soft and comfortable. My hub and I really hit the pavement when traveling abroad - always climbing stairs, walking several hours a day to see the sights, and we walk, we walk, we walk. These shoes blew my mind! It was only after standing in the Louvre on the fifth day of our trip that my feet finally got the hang of it. Plantar fasciitis appeared, but the shoes are not to blame. I wouldn't use them for jogging, but I've never found a better shoe for leisurely walks to sightseeing and the like. I was caught in heavy rain in Paris and my shoes got soaked. I let them dry overnight and they dried perfectly (black suede), still looked new, no water stains. So be careful, they are not waterproof (don't know if a waterproofing spray would help). I went back to order other colors and was very disappointed to find that Revain wasn't the size or width I wanted. I guess I have to go to the New Balance website. As a fun note, I saw a lot of French people in white sneakers and colorful t-shirts. Felt like I was in the States. But I still loved my discreet NBs. I love love love the look!
