I am a 5'8 girl whose leggings are always highwaters, which us why I got these leg warmers in the first place. To keep my ankles from freezing! Its hard to find socks that are tall anymore. So, I tried these. They are soft, somewhat stretchy as one would hope. Not terribly warm but they do help for sure. My issue with them is this, . I put them in a gentle wash cycle and they unravelled, getting strings wound up in everything else in my laundry load. It was ridiculous. A warning to all, that you may just need to hand wash these things. I gave thema 3, only because they were just "okay".
