It says it's a charging cable but it doesn't work with Garmin GPS to connect to your car. Garmin thinks it's a data cable and doesn't work. It connects easily to a computer and is probably a good cable, but it doesn't work as a charging cable for some devices. I'm updating my rating. Found I can get Garmin to recognize the power cable if you take your PIN and remove it from the launch requirements. It still takes a few minutes for the computer's data icons screen to appear, which is an inconvenience, but once this step is complete, it returns to the desktop screen. If your PIN is used you have to keep entering it and it still doesn't work, so just turn off the PIN requirement in settings. Of course you lose some security now, but at least it will work. I still give it 3 stars just because the description says it has a charging cable. Some of the newer Garmins may work fine with this cable, but 255W won't work unless you turn off the stylus.
