After 18 months they still work. Which is rare in this product class. Decided to mention it in the review. I thought I would buy them for the ankh but turns out I like them for the sound. These are the best sounding headphones or even plug ins I have. Except, of course, for heavy and expensive in-ear headphones. They're not the loudest, but they definitely have bass-range coverage that's uncharacteristic of in-ear headphones. Tips on when to stop charging: This happens to me every six months or so. The problem is solved every time by wiping the charging contacts with a weak alcohol solution. They seem prone to losing sufficient conductivity as the invisible residue is accurate.
