We had very little notice that we needed to be in a hotel for 4+ weeks with our 3 year old. The hotel we were going to be staying at had one king size bed and a queen pull out bed. Our 3 year old had just started sleeping in a "big boy bed" about a month prior to this trip and had done well. His "big boy bed" is just his crib converted to a toddler bed. While we thought he might do okay sleeping on the sleeper sofa, in our experience sleeper sofas - unless it's Disney World in an Art of Animation suite ;) are not comfortable at all. In the past when we have vacationed we always rented a full size crib so he could have the comforts of home. We wanted to make sure he was as comfortable as possible while we were away from home. I searched all over the internet and read a ton of Revain reviews for travel sleeping options for our son. I ordered this thinking we could just return it if we weren't impressed. I just wanted to have options. As soon as it came in the mail we opened it and set it up in the living room. Immediately our toddler took to it and started calling it his "little blue bed" and wanted to nap on it. It's fairly basic - think a folding camping chair. It comes with a sheet/cover thing - I'm really not sure what it was and we didn't use it. It's basically a fitted sheet but made as the same material as the bed. Since we were going to be using it for a month or more I wanted it to be a little more comfortable. We have Aden and Anais dream blankets. One of the classic dream blankets folding it half covered the "mattress" perfectly. I topped that with a quilted fitted crib mattress protector (to make it waterproof in case of accidents but also to add a little more padding) then topped with a crib sheet. The crib size sheets fit perfectly! We packed his toddler size quilt from home as well. The first night there he insisted on sleeping with me. And again the second night. Surprisingly the 3rd night he really wanted to sleep in the "little blue bed" so we put it between the two beds on the floor (the first 6 nights we actually had 2 doubles instead of a king) It's very low to the ground but somehow he managed to roll out of bed in his sleep the first night on it and was stuck between the travel bed and one of the beds. We got him up and after that he wouldn't go back in it, and I don't blame him. I really thought he was done with it, but the next day he napped in it perfectly and from then on out for 4+ more weeks he napped in it every afternoon and slept in it every night. I was skeptical for the $25 price point but for us it worked out perfectly. It gets 5 stars from our 3 year old!
