These baskets - I have two sets of these - fit almost perfectly on the 12" (W) x 8.5" (H) x 14" (D) shelves in my closet. As I expected Although not the strongest baskets, they are more than strong enough to withstand the light wear and tear they can take from being taken off the shelves once or twice a week.Excellent purchase!Will order another set as spares so I have spares if they ever wear out.
