I have bought some items which have been repaired without problems. When I received the Linksys AC5400 it was well packaged in a brown box with all the necessary instructions, parts and looked very nice. Now the problems begin. I think if this was actually checked and tested the first thing that would be done would be a factory reset, all you have to do is press the button for a few seconds. It wasn't here. I plugged it in, it turned on fine, and now the problems start. First Linksys site starts setup, won't connect to router. Never had a problem like this with a Linksys router. I got this after a few tries and trying to log in with the wrong password. This is strange because I used a password on the router. Found. never liked After calling tech support where they tried to sell me tech support for 10 minutes instead of giving me the support I was entitled to, it all boiled down to a simple reset. Rebooted router and finally started setup. He wanted to do an automatic firmware update, it crashed. Everything worked again, firmware loaded manually and router started. After all the problems, it worked very well for about 30 hours. At first the internet connection drops and quickly restarts and it works fine. After 10 minutes I walked past the router and saw it blink and reboot, and then again. It seemed to me that he was overheating because it was very hot. Repackaged for a refund.
