Just received yesterday. First the good: It sounds absolutely wonderful. I'm far from an audiophile, but I know how to fake it. I was afraid the bass would be overwhelming but no. The sound is rich and balanced. I've heard Dave Brubeck and George Winston and they sounded great. I have yet to delve deep into musical genres. I also heard the spoken word (radio) and again it was clear and balanced. I also like the look of this speaker. Your mileage may vary. I am very happy that I can connect my digital audio player (with all those FLAC files) directly to the speaker. The same applies to other devices such as B. a TV. According to the instructions, I can connect my turntable to a speaker, I'm not sure if it works without a preamp. However, I did not buy a speaker for my record player. Now for the worst. It took me several hours to set it up. I have a new Asus Gigabit Dual Band Router and also a new Netgear modem. My download speed is close to 600Mbps so speed is not an issue. I installed the speaker less than a foot from my router and modem and my Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G was practically sitting on top of the speaker. All this to say that I have pretty good gear and was within reach for a simple setup. It took hours and hours to set up the app. I tried switching from WiFi playback to input playback (WiFi playback is correct). I tried an alternative setting. Tried my old Galaxy 7. Tried my tablet. I tried changing my router from automatic to n only and then to legacy. I tried connecting the speaker to my home network on one phone - so I knew it was connected and visible on my network, and tried setting up the app on the other phone. I've tried and tried. I even tried a hard ethernet connection before attempting to connect through the app. After several hours and several attempts, I set the guest SSID with a password without special characters and was able to connect. What a disappointment. When I then turned the tablet off and on again, I had to go through the setup again. It's easier this time. Then I had to reconfigure on my main phone. Again it's easier. The app itself is bad. I can't play Spotify through the speaker unless I'm using Bluetooth outside of the Audio Pro app or paying for a premium service. The TuneIn I use for radio differs from the TuneIn I downloaded to my phone as one of the stations I listen to every day is not supported by the version in the Audio Pro app. I can't add a new app to the Audio Pro app - I (listening to podcasts via Podcast Republic). Now there is a workaround - listening to them via Bluetooth, which I've been trying to avoid. What could motivate me to return it is the fact that the power plug falls out at the slightest pressure. I keep this on my bedside table and have unplugged the power cord twice in 24 hours. Bottom line, this sounds unusual, my setup experience can be exceptional, and the app sucks. Update: A few weeks later and I've boxed it up for return. This saddens me because it sounds amazing and I really like how it looks. I'm glad it offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3.5mm connections (did I get that size right?). With all these options, I don't see anything else that I want. The connector problem went away as soon as it was close to stalling. Call it user error. Why am I sending it back? Numerous falls and I was very close to living with it. Before I blamed my network, the speed test showed a download of over 400Mbps. Two of the preset buttons never light up. Sometimes they worked, and sometimes it took a few tries to get them working. Blue Tooth had similar problems. Sometimes it connected and sometimes it didn't. There have been a few instances where I could see it connected to my phone regardless of the app and the app itself. The lines showing volume changes move up and down. However, there was no sound. Sometimes the blue tooth worked right away, sometimes it took several times. Also, there's a sound delay that didn't help. I was about to live with all the glitches because I really enjoyed it. I reached my limit when I lost connection to my network and no longer connected. The outage happened in the middle of the day with no loss of power or internet. I wasn't willing to play with it for hours just to plug it back in. Now I'm going to remove the special SSID I set to make it work the first time. In fact, I'm disappointed. I don't know if I received a bad product or if these problems are more widespread.
