Bought on a whim. The squirrels climbed the pole of my bird feeder and robbed all my bird feeders. I cut off about 2 inches of a (short) trail and wrapped it under the lowest bird feeder on the pole. It must have been a good day to learn a lesson, about 8-12 squirrels came for breakfast, I watched them and they watched me, watched them because they didn't seem to care if I threw rocks at them, they yell at, open the door and let them slam, etc. That first morning I just watched, they seemed disappointed that I wasn't trying to scare them, but the first guy who always climbs first to eat and then throwing all the seeds out of the feeder on the platform so the little ones can start climbing. I saw him stop and notice something else, but then he just kept climbing. Then it happened. This mfer must have landed in the exact spot which is perhaps equivalent to a human getting a splinter under their fingernail because I have never seen a squirrel hop up and down in the air and yell/bark like he does. I spat tea at the front door and the other squirrels seemed so scared they couldn't move, they could only watch their mate go crazy. climb a pole, not to mention even get into my garden to even eat seeds off the ground destined for ducks, rabbits and chipmunks. a cat always trying to get my ducks. Will update as soon as I get it.
