Whether you need to change the replaced channels or switch to AES/EBU instead of analog audio, you flip the DIP switches on the side and you're good to go. The problem is that, just like many other BMD products, it refuses to work from time to time. Maybe it's weird power fluctuations at power up (which can be present when powering up with a whole rack), maybe the moon phase. Who knows. However, from time to time, a power outage is required for proper operation. It's fine if you know how to test it and how to work around it, but it would be nice if we just didn't have to deal with these issues. Ultimately, the product does what it was designed to do. It's getting a little warm, but it's not the end of the world. However, be aware that the power may be turned on and off from time to time.
