Low transmission speed but high heat dissipation.

When connected to the USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 port on my desktop, I get a maximum transfer rate of 32 MB/s. Far from 1 Gbps. Windows reported 100% utilization during file transfers at 40MB/s. It never got hot or warmed up when transferring data. This is great compared to some of my other external media which can sometimes burn if I'm not careful. Here's a look at Samsung and SanDisk with their solid metal USB drives.
