Review on 💻 Dell WD19TB Thunderbolt Docking Station: 180W Adapter, 130W Power Delivery by Van Masterson

I bought this dock to work with two 4K displays and multiple peripherals from a Dell Latitude 7490 Thunderbolt 3 laptop. As an experiment, I connected a 2019 15" MacBook Pro to see if it would work too. Initially I had an issue where both 4K displays showed the same activity instead of working independently. System settings didn't bring a solution (neither "Display Detection" nor "Mirror Displays" - disabled). I checked my connections. I was using two Displayport connectors on the dock to power two 4K displays. After some Googling, I found that this configuration doesn't work as both displayport connectors are enabled.the same hoop.In order for both 4K displays to work, each must be on its own bus.I had an extra Thunderbolt 3 HDMI cable on hand.After disconnecting using one of the Displayport cables and using Thunderbolt 3 with an HDMI cable that is on a separate bus solved the problem!Now I can just use the Thunderbolt 3-Ha Connect the cable coming out of the dock to my MacBook Pro or Dell Latitude 7490 and any peripherals connected to the dock will work with any laptop. It's awesome!
