Great when they all work

This is what I was looking forward to for my preschool class. Unfortunately, out of the 6 in the pack, only 2 work as intended with the spring. I am disappointed as the ones that actually work are amazing and perfect for my kids learning to cut. I want everything to work in the package. The ones that don't work stay closed and the blades are so tight that the spring can't open them again. On the plus side, they are suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users. If you don't need a feather part these are great for any preschool class.
