Review on Vizio Remote XR6M10 SmartCast Tablet by Kenneth Broszko

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Cheap cell phone relief

I'm the worst buyer. I was looking for gift ideas for someone else and ended up seeing this Vizio "tablet" (it's basically a remote control). It's too weak for the person I bought for, but I thought it was a good deal so I took it. And it brings many benefits! To be honest, the biggest selling point of this tablet is the wireless charging station. For that reason it has replaced my phone as my morning alarm clock and looks a lot better. It's also good to have a tablet in case the Roku remote goes missing, because while I don't actually have a Vizio TV to use for its intended purpose, I can still install other apps on it and use it that way use . All of my streaming apps look great, and I can also connect them to speakers around the house via Bluetooth to listen to music. It's been super functional technology lately. I hope this lasts for a while. There are some downsides. There's no camera, and it's confusing at times because every other tablet or mobile device has one. I was hoping Google Fi would work on this, but no. But the memory is essentially already filled with all streaming applications, and there's no room for anything else. And it definitely looks like something under $50. The bottom section sags if you wear it wrong, but I try to take it easy. For €40 it was definitely worth buying.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
