I wanted to replace a set of lightbulbs that hadn't aged in two years - the bulbs were dead, the plastic coating on the wires was being damaged by UV rays and I wanted to save money by switching to LED (approx .$18 per month!). They seemed like a great deal and would pay for themselves quickly as they would save me a lot of electricity per month. I was a little wary of buying these as they were new to Amazon and had no reviews yet. Luckily they are great and I have no complaints so far! I spliced two strings (108 feet total) and ran them between loops every few feet across my patio. They look great and are bright. The only small problem is that, like any other lamp of this type, they are fragile. When removing, be careful not to hit the bulbs against each other, otherwise they will break. I broke one that way, but it was my fault. If this happens to you, use pliers to remove the bulb and then use one of the spare bulbs they have.
