Review on Inkjet Card Tray Canon Printers by Rodney Mendoza

Revainrating 5 out of 5

But it's great.

This tray works great so I want to give it five stars because it works properly. My ONLY issue with the damn J Tray is the lack of damn MacBook Pro instructions! I've searched far and wide, near and narrow, and googled life what to do, and came up almost empty-handed. It took me two hours to understand something that it would have taken me 8 minutes to explain. I have never used a J tray before and received the printer the same day I received the tray and plastic cards. So I tried to learn both, but the vast majority of instructions available are for Windows. If you're having trouble like me, I've attached a video showing exactly what you need to do to print your PVC ID cards. I printed out Brainstorm's examples to get a feel for how to work with it, and now that I've figured it out, it only takes a few minutes to set up and print. It's frustrating that there aren't any clear instructions for those of us who don't know what we're doing. If you have a new MacBook Pro or other Mac without a CD slot, you will need different components to make this work. If you've already downloaded all the drivers and what not, you have a Mac and you have a pretty good idea of what you can do, here's a list of things you'll need: - Canon PIXMA MX922 - Canon Printer USB - Cables - USB-C to USB Adapter - Inkjet PVC Cards - Canon J-Tray

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • I'll write back later
