It's a shame I haven't used this toilet system for a long time. You have to buy the whole kit to use this junk but it works great! Initially it takes at least 2 bags of litter to fill it, but in the last 7 months I've only completely replaced all the litter twice (with only one cat eating a lot --- and therefore lots of pots) and then I add here and adding trash to it and throwing away a few pieces every time I dig it up. It's great never to scoop up smelly urine. This system keeps the smell fresh until it's time to change the urine pad and then you'll smell a little, but you just throw the pad away and replace it with a new one and you're done. As for the smell of cat poop, it stinks, but once it's dried it doesn't smell horrible and you just pick it up. to vacuum up the trash or step on the pieces when I get out of my clean shower and I no longer have the kitty litter mess in my house! If a few pieces fall off the tray, just throw them back or throw them in the trash and they're very easy to clean. With my only cat, I only have to change my pee pads about every two weeks. I've found that Petsmart has pens for about the same price.
