Works better than expected. As soon as I used this bottle I immediately bought another and recommend it to anyone who will listen. I have some uninsulated Klean Kanteen bottles that I wrap in foam. They still sweat and don't hold ice for more than a few hours so I decided to try one of these. I have not used it for hot liquids, only ice water. I fill them with ice cubes and water. I always drink all the water long before the ice melts. If left overnight there is always plenty of ice in the morning. I've been in the sun all day on my motorbike or on foot, still plenty of ice after drinking some water. Great on the beach. Keeps water ice cold, won't fog up so sand doesn't stick to it. The only thing to note is that the capacitance is lower than non-insulated versions for the same external size.
