I have learned more about water treatment since I bought my first ionizer a few years ago. In the meantime I have switched to a more complex reverse osmosis multi-stage water filtration + remineralization and pH adjustment. Not only have I discovered that alkaline water is more of a myth than a medical fact (but that's another topic), it's an objective fact. that $109 for a single filter (which can remove a significant amount of chlorine and improve flavor, but certainly can't affect deposits significantly (unless you use it in conjunction with another deposit filter) and TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) clearly Are rip offs.Too expensive for a not very effective filter in terms of water purity. But how effective (or harmful) can it be when used with water that is not yet potable?A better water at home is made by reverse osmosis considered "GOOD" which the alkaline water advocates (I used to be one of them) usually consider evil.
