I used lights in recycled plastic jars to make them look like ghosts. I drew the eyes and mouth on the jug and placed the light in the jug. Then I lit them on the porch for the kids to see. The batteries lasted 12 hours the night before and another 20 hours on Halloween. At this point, only two of the light kits were empty. The battery compartment is easy to open, take out batteries and add new ones. The battery compartment features an easy-to-use on/off switch. I am very happy with my purchase.
