We recently used it on a specific basement project where we needed to lower the ceiling and build shells. Worked very well. Gets a little thicker at 35-40 feet (1/8-3/16) but that's to be expected at this price point. The battery must be in the charger as the charge port acts as a power source even when the battery is in place (ie you can turn it on while charging). But that makes it impossible to charge the extra battery while I'm working, so I just swap it out and charge it overnight.
