I have a relatively long (1/4 mile) underground coax cable with PoE over coax modules that carries power and Ethernet traffic over the cable. . I've had the occasional lightning-related surge that ripped out devices on both ends, but since installing this device on one end I've had no problems. It is well made and serves its purpose.
