In just 9 months of use the rope was so worn that only a few threads held it up. Luckily I decided to take it off for the winter because if those last few strands were to snap while climbing, serious injury could result. Not sure if the wear and tear was caused by a design flaw or if the hanging method was my fault (I wrapped the rope around a branch and threaded it through a loop). In the latter case, the seller must indicate in advance in the ad text that this installation procedure is unsafe.
