They do what they're supposed to do, solid
The earphones come in tubes so yes it would be ideal to smooth them out before hitting the shelves. I put enough stuff on it so I don't have to worry about twisting the corners. They are what they say. And I think they're durable - I had the leg of the smaller stand (which holds the soup cans) on the liner (instead of the mesh wire) for who knows how long and the liner didn't break.
