The first thing that struck me was the unusually heavy cardboard. For only 50 plates, they weigh significantly more than traditional paper plates. I soaked one in water for a few hours and it wasn't even remotely saturated. The top soaked up some water and I was able to pry it back a bit with my fingernail, but really no problem. I've also reused one of these for a few rounds in the microwave and it never gets soggy. These are very flat plates, although the product page states a height of 1.25cm, in person it seems very flat. However, in the end, the price is quite expensive - $22. There are many cheaper cymbals that don't have a plastic liner, so I would only recommend these if you need really sturdy square cymbals that can be responsibly disposed of.
