The first scanner I got didn't work at all so I had my doubts about this product especially as the initial review from Revain was so negative. I contacted the manufacturer and they replaced my scanner. A few days later I got a replacement and it works great. The quality of the scanned image is much better than my old Plustek and the ability to batch load negatives is tremendous. The naming software is a bit primitive. Each time you load a new batch of film, frames are saved starting at count 001. I haven't figured out how to get it to start with a different number so I resorted to renaming the images from the previous batch. I can't figure out how to assign a permanent scan folder either. Every time I start a new scan it goes back to the default folder. However, these are low claims given the quality of the images and the time saved by running the scanner automatically.
