I have an old Zoom 2 audio recorder and am very happy with it and still use it to this day. I have an older version of Q2N. The previous version was fine, but there were problems. The manufacturer has apparently listened to the feedback, and the Q2N-4K portable DVR has solved literally all legitimate problems. [Battery life, recording time, using the right size and type of Micro SD, and unexpected interruptions in recording.] The result is an excellent product. I use it to record all kinds of music: accompaniment and unaccompanied church choirs, British marching bands and live jazz in concert. The sound and video reproduction in all these areas is excellent. The battery life is more than acceptable. I recorded almost two hours of rehearsal using internal batteries alone. Recording time increases if I can stop the video between sets. Its lens angle is slightly narrower than the previous version, but still allows the unit to be placed close to the stage and covers the entire scene with slightly less fisheye distortion. This is an improvement. The sample video was recorded a little over 4 feet from the 25-foot front of the stage on a table, and the top and both ends of the stage are still visible. The demo was recorded at 720 resolution, which is well below the highest resolution. You need headphones to enjoy the sound of the 9-second demo.
