Review on Inspiron Latitude Optiplex LA45NM140 HA45NM140 by Scott Channell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Worked for about six months

I forgot the power cord on vacation and was glad to get it a few days later. It worked fine and true to what others say, it looks like it doesn't fully connect but that doesn't matter. Unfortunately, as soon as support for the product ended after six months, it started crashing. This is a type of interference, similar to when power cords come loose at the point of connection; This at the point where the small power pack is connected to the cable to the computer. It works for a while and then turns off, so I have to pay attention to whether it's enabled or not. I don't wrap it often so it's not like I wear it. I can't give a star for the price and six months of service. But I wish it was a little stronger. UPDATE: Today (3/1) I received a warranty replacement (good for a year) from the company. The laptop complains (with "fix bios" messages on screen) that it doesn't have 60W, but neither does the other. Dell's specifications state that 60W and 45W are supported. It still seems to work. I just unplug it when I turn it on and plug it back in when I leave. In fact, the previously known issue (that the connector sticks out a bit from the computer) has been fixed in the current version. I'm increasing my rating from 3 to 4 stars.
