Review on Microwave Plate Cover Anti Splatter Dishwasher by Gerardo Cibrian

When I got this lid I tried it on foods that usually break, crack and splatter in my microwave making a big mess. Don't bother with this shell! All stray food residue ends up on the inside of the lid, which is very easy to clean with soap and water. I only had one problem. I couldn't grasp the smooth, sculpted "handle". It kept slipping out of my fingers. So I went to the local hardware store that sells everything under the sun and bought a NYLON machine screw (#10 x 1.5 inch), two nuts and two washers (all NYLON). drilled a small hole in the top of the cover and attached a screw (see photo). Now it is very easy to lift the lid. If you decide to try this, just make sure you are NOT using metal bolts, nuts, or washers. .Difficult cleaning of the inside of the microwave is a thing of the past for me.
