different positions. I've been looking for a comfortable chair for a long time. I have some of the fancy looking cheaper chairs tried it but even the "ergonomic" lounge chairs don't adjust very well. These fancy chairs just slide forward or backward with no real adjustment other than maybe the lumbar support. Or the gasket is too flimsy. So I ended up wanting a basic office chair ,simple but adjustable,with thick padding.This chair doesn't look fancy but all the controls are there and you can recline the chair forward or back and lock the back angle for rocking.My only complaint is that the recline lock is pretty weak and lean back to relax Might be easy to solve. This is probably a defect, but if I walk quietly, it's not a problem. And again, I tend to leave it unlocked most of the time. However, this chair allows for some rocking and the padding is considerable. I'm a fairly tall man (6ft, 210lbs) so I need something durable and comfortable. This chair is one of the few that has all the adjustments and decent upholstery. For a job where I sit 4-6 hours a day, this works well. These cheaper reclining chairs just don't have any padding so after a while they hurt your seat or back. Try this one - it's damn good and well worth the money. From a health standpoint: This chair is free of toxic flame retardant chemicals (which it doesn't need) and is Greenguard certified, meaning it's low in smell and smell. Nice sturdy comfortable chair.
