The bottles are nice and the lids work great. I use them to brew my own. Since the fermentation in the bottle continues for a while after you top off the beer, I would "burp" my bottles twice a day to try to release the pressure while I wait for the yeast to die. However, when I opened it, one of the bottles broke with such force that about an inch came loose from the neck and spilled all over the fridge. To measure what PSI was in the bottle when it broke, there is no way to tell if it was a bottle defect per se. It's possible that the pressure just got too high for the glass - the "pop" was quite loud and strong, stronger than the other two bottles, so I really don't know. I only mention it here in case someone else encounters a similar problem.
