Paper chopsticks work better. The cake balls want to slide off the plastic. I had to buy paper for fifty cents more, I didn't notice the difference. I've found a few workarounds the hard way - don't just slide the batter halfway down the ball. Don't dip the cake pop completely upside down in the melted chocolate or crust - instead, grab a spoon and roll the cake pop sideways in the spoon, pull and squirt the melted material from the spoon over the top so you never have to hold it in your hands. turn it upside down. It wasn't that difficult with paper sticks!
