Review on Rolife Dollhouse Kit: Creative Wooden House with Dolls & Accessories by Damon Atonyo

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Let's be honest. in Dolls & Accessories

Miniature Dolls House Kits NOT Included. I think it's in the name DOLL'S HOUSE! But still! Absolutely impossible to find a set to present to BOYS! In the world of miniature dollhouses, everything is very girly! So I bought this to give to 2 little boys who are very sad that only girls get mini houses from me. I painted the pink cardboard pieces blue and solved the problem. Review. I started building this studio last weekend. I'm still fairly new to this hobby and this is only my 5th miniature. I'm glad she wasn't one of my first. I wouldn't say it's too hard, but it's definitely not for beginners. Some things I find better than some of the other kits/brands I've used. All materials are well packed, the bags are numbered from 1 to 5, which is very convenient. All the other sets I've used have the letters A through C, and sometimes multiple packs of the same letter. Very confusing. The instruction manual is very different from anything I've seen before. First, there is no main materials list at the beginning of the book. Instead, the materials and their location (which bags we can find them in) are listed after the parts that need to be crafted. It's actually very, very useful because you don't have to keep going back to the beginning of the book trying to figure out where to find a piece. Each part you need to make is illustrated in the book, the finished part first, next to it are individual pictures of each material you will need to complete that part, and below is a written list of what it is and which bag you have to wear them in. find them. And that's great, because the translation is just terrible. Without pictures, and where there aren't any, it would be almost impossible to understand some of these things from their translated names. Each step of construction is illustrated, but many of the images are not very clear. These aren't the best pictures and there was a lot of guesswork on my part. There are very few wooden parts in this set, which was a first for me. Most of the parts are made of wire, which makes this set a bit more complicated. I use very good glue (Beacon 3 in 1) and yet! It takes forever to glue the wire, making the whole assembly process much slower. (This is already a slow process, so you can only imagine. The slips are well organized, well numbered, but the paper is very poor quality. I haven't seen a set with such paper before. It's more flimsy than other sets and for some parts it's a plus but for most it's just hard to glue and assemble.Lights!I still don't understand why the lights came the way they were. They are basically jeans, you get light tips and you have to plug them all in (instead of the usual little led lights or some of their kits) it was a pain! Also the instructions tell you to clip the wire on the lights. Thank god I did remembered to mark which side was positive and which side was negative BEFORE you cut them, otherwise it would be a mess. You can't attach every colored wire in every cardinal direction you want So be careful before you cut them. The overall quality is also different from what I've seen in other kits so far. But it's cute! I would fully recommend this kit but only if you are a beginner. Work on a few other sets before diving into this one. I would wholeheartedly recommend the CUTEBEE sets if you are a beginner and then give this one a try as you gain experience. Especially with WIRES! A lot is done here with the help of wires and hinestkoy is a pain! :(But if you're good at it, will it look amazing?
