Unfortunately the gasket does not fit well in the transverse knife assembly. Since you thread the cross blades upside down onto the threads of the jar, I can't see if the seal has come loose due to a loose fit or not. This causes leakage and the gasket wraps around the blade. In my experience the spacer wears out after a few uses as it hangs on the blade and eventually breaks. You also have a mental block, wondering if any pieces of plastic in your mix have broken off or if it smells like plastic. For a little more money I would just buy a new set of magic bullets from the manufacturer.
