Just so you know I have installed about 100 lamps in my life. We are currently tearing down all of the lighting in our home that we just bought and upgrading all of the fixtures to rustic vintage fixtures. I was very intrigued by the look of this lamp and decided to use it as a wall lamp in my theater room. The problem with this light is that the base is not wide enough to cover the outlet. If only it were half an inch or 3/4 inch wider. I don't know if I received a used mount, but both sockets in the box we received were very badly worn. Everything inside looked brand new so I don't think I got a used set but I could be wrong. It was also another deal breaker for me. When the lights are on they don't emit much light and that was another disappointing issue with this light. It sure looks cool and comes with long tubular bulbs that complete the vintage look. We end up sending them back and I don't recommend them.
