I purchased two hard disk drives from WD. Both of these went for green (wd10EZRX), including this one. Although WD claims that the black series should be faster, the green model (wd10EZRX) came out on top in almost all of the tests that were conducted. Read/write speeds for black are 165/157. Read and write speed green: 180–175 words per minute The read/write access time for black is between 7.5 and 2.5 milliseconds. Read/write access time for green: 6.8 milliseconds 2 milliseconds P.S. Some time later, I invested 6,000 dollars in a brand-new batch of 500 GB WD5003AZEX hard drives and installed the system on them. Therefore, in terms of read and write performance (access time plus or minus a few of milliseconds), it turned out to be significantly slower than these two by over twenty percent.
