Review on πŸ”Œ Progress Lighting P2576-8030K Protruding Mount Ceiling Fan with 5 Toasted Oak Blades and 18 Watts Light in Forged Black by Paty Fernandez

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Please note that this fan requires both an electrician and large additional costs and expenses.

The description of this fan does not mention that the electrician has to run additional wires to connect the wall switch to control the lighting set. In my case I had cathedral floorboard ceilings and walls and had to remove some of the ceiling and walls to get through (extra wire not common in American homes) so be careful. I had to send the fan back as it cost 4 times the price of the fan itself. To make matters worse I ordered a 24" down rod for the cathedral ceiling which was supplied direct from Progress Lighting and a new one Light switch cover for the rectangular wall fan switch. The wall switch cover was supposed to cost me more than I paid to return it and Progress made me pay to ship the returned bottom bar so I really screwed up. After this experience I will not be buying from Progress again nor will I be buying another fan from this site.

Pros
  • beautiful thing
Cons
  • makes me angry
