They have long handles - that's good. But the grips are a little lighter/thinner than I was hoping for. I don't know yet if they can withstand the pressure of working on hard ice. And the brass blades are obviously significantly thinner than the ones they replace. With two, the edges/corners have already "appeared". and most frustratingly I was able to get them almost flat/straight again with my fingers. Again, I doubt they'll stand up to the hard cutting I'm used to. Let's see how they work. The weather hasn't brought us storms in a long time, so I couldn't check them out. EDIT: 1/4/20 The copper colored "blades" on these things are a joke. Not only is brass so soft - glass doesn't scratch. But they are so thin that they don't scratch the ice. Today I removed the ice around the window frame and the "blades" literally turned inside out. Both ends are rounded and the rest of the blade was so wavy that it didn't sit flat enough on the windshield to scratch anything! This is junk.
