I thought it was a medical step stool. No, that is not so. It feels a little sturdy, but the center of the stool isn't exactly rigid, there's some articulation. It's easy out of the box, straighten your legs and you're done. I don't like the fact that it's shorter than I expected. There must also be no rubber feet, as they do NOT offer any grip on my parquet floor. As I push away from him to get into bed, he slips right under me. This is being returned as it does not meet my requirements.
