Yes, it is a good front door viewer.

This is a fairly simple article, so the review seems a bit silly. You look through and see who is at the door. BUT when I searched for it, there were several entries for "reverse peephole viewers". I never thought of such a thing, but there are small handheld devices that a person can take to my viewer at the front door and change the magnification and they can really look inside my house and see what's inside, not what I'm seeing from the outside..! That seems like a bad idea and gives me goosebumps which is why this particular viewer has a nifty little cover to keep it from being inverted. Why don't you buy the one with the lid.
