Well I've been using one of these docks for almost a year now and am very impressed. The image quality is excellent and the functionality is very reliable. However, I have two complaints. First, the installation is not as easy as it should be. Firmware is available on both Dell's website and DisplayLink's website, but once the native display management software is installed, there is none. You are forced to use Windows display management software which is absolutely not user-friendly especially when you are using three or more monitors. It will take a while to get everything set up and working properly, but once you've done that you shouldn't have any further problems. Second, this docking station has a DisplayPort output. However, if you own or plan to buy monitors like my Dell U2414H with three flat panels and MST (multi-streaming) capability (aka daisy chaining) you will be disappointed to know that this dock does NOT support MST. Instead of connecting multiple monitors to a single display output, you must use a separate video cable for each individual monitor. To make matters worse, the dock only has one DisplayPort output and the other two outputs are HDMI. So if your monitors came with DisplayPort cables, you will need to purchase additional HDMI cables as well. None of these issues are deal breaker and now that I'm set up I'm EXTREMELY happy with the end result, but just a few info I would have liked to know before purchasing.
