I just got an all aluminum Mishimoto radiator and new top and bottom hoses for my G8. I just flushed the system two years ago and it was very clean for 2009 so I just drained it this time. Came out about 2 1/2 gallons, and since I had a lot in stock, 50/50 and a few gallons. straight. I ordered 3 gallons of distilled water from Amazon on Saturday morning and it was delivered by noon. I've always wondered how long does everyone leave coolant in their cars and trucks? I don't drive a full five years or 150,000 miles. This time it was exactly right in two years, plus or minus a few months.
