Breaks completely after a while

For some reason I had 3 of these (two of this model and one of an earlier model) and all 3 died after a month or two of use. I have a big thick beard and I have noticed (especially during the pandemic) that my neck is sweating profusely. Using it helps keep my neck a lot cooler and it makes me feel a lot cooler (I don't look cool though, just ask anyone who sees me in it). Anyway, I use it 8 hours a day and the batteries I put in it (eneloops rechargeable) work fine for the most part. If the batteries don't last a full 8 hours, it's going to be very tight. But after using it for a while (about a month or two) I noticed that it was slowing down too soon. It's not the batteries that are dead, it's the engine! Sometimes I could hit it and get it back to full power, and other times I had to open it up and fiddle with it to get it working again. 2 pack) off and on now both are dead. I bought it last September and here in April they are dead so 3 months each on average. I understand this is a cheap product (about $6.25 each) but gosh, I wish it had lasted at least a year. If you don't use yours that long/that often, you might be able to get by with yours for a year. Mine saw 40 hours a week every 6 months, so 40 x 26/2 = about 520 hours each until he dies. Aside from the lifespan of the product in general, I have no issues with it. Battery life was decent, weight wasn't an issue, and thickness/size wasn't an issue. It was fairly quiet and most people didn't notice (except when it started to wear out it started humming a little more than usual). A lot of people have asked me if it's worth using and if it really helps, and I've always told them it keeps my neck warm and sweaty while I work. great confidence in it. Now there are newer models with built in rechargeable batteries but if it is the same motor it will be useless in 3-6 months so I would stick with the cheaper battery powered models.
